3. Telemedicine and Virtual Consultations (HIPAA Compliance)
We offer virtual consultations and digital assessments to help determine candidacy for hair restoration and related procedures. By submitting forms, uploading photos, or participating in a telemedicine consultation, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
a. Protected Health Information (PHI)
Any information you provide during a virtual consultation—including photos, medical history, or descriptions of symptoms—may be considered Protected Health Information (PHI) under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
We are committed to safeguarding your PHI as required by law. All medical data transmitted electronically is stored and transmitted using secure, encrypted methods compliant with HIPAA standards.

While we use secure technology, no system is entirely free from risk. You acknowledge that electronic communication carries inherent privacy limitations and that absolute confidentiality cannot be guaranteed.
c. Recording Policy
Telemedicine or video consultations are not recorded by Stoller Medical Group without explicit written consent. Patients are likewise prohibited from recording without prior written authorization.
d. Limitations of Virtual Assessment
Virtual consultations provide preliminary recommendations based on photos and history submitted.
A final diagnosis or treatment plan may require an in-person examination or diagnostic testing at our clinic.
